Bliss (subcontract Brickwork) Ltd was established in 1981 as a labour only brick work service. The Company expanded in 1986 and added a scaffolding division.
Based in Northampton the company has achieved a steady growth over its 30 year existence, to become one of the leading brickwork and scaffold contractors in the Midlands, with a current turnover of approximately £7.5 million and growing, attributed to our commitment to providing a quality of service unrivalled within the industry.
During this time we have earned a reputation within our industry for our versatility, supplying the increasingly preferred trend towards a complete brickwork/ scaffolding sub-contractors package, including all labour, plant, materials and scaffolding, whilst still providing for the more traditional "labour only" masonry/scaffolding contractor requests or any combination that is required. We will strive to deliver the best package for our customers.
The current management team benefits from being a mix of professionals and tradesmen with varied backgrounds, including bricklayers, site managers, contracts managers, and quantity surveyors all with a wealth of experience in all sectors of construction.
We currently employ over 200 bricklayers and labourers, 10 telescopic forklift drivers, 40 scaffolders and numerous ancillary site staff throughout the Midlands and as far a field as London, Reading, East Anglia and South Yorkshire. This enables us to deliver a first class service wherever it is required from our head office, ideally located in Northampton
However, we believe our future not only lies with our current experienced labour force but with the continued training of young bricklayers and scaffolders to this end we are continually undergoing an apprentice programme where young people are given the opportunity to work along side qualified tradesmen whilst attending a college programme in conjunction with the CITB. |
